Hi, I’m Jen — the face behind Only Jen Photography!

I serve the Fredericksburg, VA area (though I call the tiny town of Goldvein home), and I specialize in lifestyle and candid photography. I’ve always believed photos should feel comfortable, natural, and true to who you are.

​

My passion for photography started after being on the other side of the camera myself. I’ve been to shoots where I shared my insecurities, only to feel completely unheard when I saw the final images. There were times I wanted to grab the camera and shoot it myself, or later edit the photos in the way I envisioned them. That frustration turned into fuel — I knew I wanted to create a photography experience where people feel comfortable, celebrated, and confident in their own skin.

My style leans into earthy tones, neutrals, and the beauty of natural light outdoors. Whether I’m capturing a family’s laughter, a couple’s connection, or a child’s wild spirit, I focus on candid, storytelling moments that feel timeless and genuine.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll usually find me with my husband Kyle, our son Warren, and our two pups, Clutch and Axle. They are my whole world and the reason I value capturing life’s fleeting moments so deeply. I’m also endlessly creative — if I’m not reading a spicy novel, I’m probably knee-deep in a new craft project.

Right now, I’m focused on family and lifestyle sessions, but I dream of expanding into weddings and events down the line. My goal is always the same: to deliver images that make you feel like a superstar, while still looking like yourself — the very best version of you.
